Wise words
We know somebody’s got some wise words to share… hello? Anyone?
And a winner has been chosen!
That’s some good stuff, not just from Max Kerning (see his twitter here), but also from Conan… good grief, but I think that Andrea manages to remind us of the wisdom of Barney Stinson:
“There are certain things in life where you know it’s a mistake but you don’t really know it’s a mistake because the only way to know that it really is a mistake is to make that mistake and go, “Yup, that was a mistake”. So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you’ll go about your whole life not knowing whether it was a mistake or not.”
Wow, that’s a mouthful of sage ol’ advice. Congratulations, Andrea! You win 5 slaps distributed throughout eternity! Suit up!
What is best in life?
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women.”
Papyrus should stay buried with the pharaohs. They’re dead for a reason.
Writers think they’re so smart, but how smart can they be for always using Times New Roman?
I was considering a lot of Barneyisms like:
There’s three rules of cheating:
1. It’s not cheating if you’re not the one who’s married. 2. It’s not cheating if her name has two adjacent vowels. 3. And its not cheating if she’s from a different area code.
OR
Dude, don’t poop where you eat!
OR
But this one stuck out instead: “There are certain things in life where you know it’s a mistake but you don’t really know it’s a mistake because the only way to know that it really is a mistake is to make that mistake and go, “Yup, that was a mistake”. So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you’ll go about your whole life not knowing whether it was a mistake or not.”
Haha, I made a mistake in that one actually. That quote is from Lily when she was about to go to her interview for that Art Fellowship in SF. So yea, Barney doesn’t get kudos from that but I do thank you for the win!!!
